We aim to expand opportunities of higher education in ASEAN member states and strengthen the relationships between ROK and ASEAN.
We operate and offer LMS and OER platforms for ASEAN countries.
ACU HISTORY
2009
Secretary General of ASEAN proposed that ROK establish a global cyber university.
2011
ROK. ASEAN Secretariat and AUN shared the "Master Plan for University History". initially targeting the CLMV.
2012
Initial ACU members attended the 1st Steering Committee Meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam.
2013
Thailand joined the ACU Project.
2014
UIT in Myanmar and NIPTICT in Cambodia joined the ACU Project.
2016
KERIS was designated as the new secretariat in the 2nd phase of the ACU Prjoect. ROK cooperative universities joined the ACU Project.
The Philippines and Malaysia joined the ACU Project.
The ACU-OER pilot service launched in December.
2017
The 9th Steering committee and Working Group meetings held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Indonesia and Brunei joined the ACU Project.
2018
The ASEAN Advisory Committee for the ACU Project(AACA) was organized and had its 1st meeting in September.
The ACU-OER LMS(Learning Management System) was constructed.
2019
11TH ACU Steering Committee Meeting was held in Yangon, Myanmar.
2019 ACU e-Learning Expert Training was held in ROK.
