Open Universities Australia (OUAwas formed in 1993 as a private companyoriginally owned by Monash UniversityIt was formed to provide students across Australia’s regional areas with access to high quality university educationWith funding from the Australian Governmenta partnership with formed between 9 universities and the Australian Broadcasting Corporationthe government owned media organisation Today it remains owned by the foundation universitiesand provides access to 1,384 fully online subjects and 170 online undergraduate and postgraduate degrees delivered by 12 universitiesto 367,250 students This presentation will discuss the model used by OUA and the insights gained.
